Apple Cranberry Relish

4 cups cranberries (frozen or fresh)
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 green apple, diced
1 tsp orange zest
1 tsp ground cinnamon
ยฝ tsp ground nutmeg

1. Bring water and sugar to boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring as you go along to dissolve sugar.
2. Once the sugar has dissolved, add cranberries, and cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes until the cranberries burst.
3. When cranberries burst, take saucepan off the heat, and add apple, orange zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
4. Then, let mixture cool completely at room temperature before placing it to chill in the refrigerator. The mixture will thicken as it chills.
